Recently, talking to a friend, as he shared his experience of growing in the Lord, I learned something about myself. Isn't it odd that our fellowship with other people brings the revelation of God up and out of our Spirit and his Word becomes a word from the Father. My friend, who I will call Bob, said, I have found that every stage of growth in my life was brought on by a deeper revelation or a greater knowledge of the name of Christ. When he said those words, I realized that my life runs parallel to his and I think it may be true of all of us.
This week at prayer meeting a word of prophecy came and the words, "that mighty Name of Jesus slammed into my spirit then, the next day listening to a song by Tommy Walker, I heard the words, "How great is that Name." Everywhere I went and every one I engaged in conversation and even when I prayed, those words come out of my mouth. Did you know that the word of God spoken from your mouth is like Paul said, it is the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:17) Let me finish with this, the Word of God in your mouth is a sharp sword, the sword of the spirit, it has never been defeated in battle and never will. As long as there is someone who will take up the sword, that sword, the Word of God, has never known defeat, His Word in your mouth will always conquer the enemy and put you over in life. And those who went before and those who followed cried, “Hosanna”, blessed be He who comes in the name of the Lord. Blessed be the Kingdom of our Father David that is coming. Hosanna in the highest. (Mark 11:9-10)
As Jesus entered Jerusalem in the face of the government and the religious leaders of His day there was much opposition. However, there were people who went before and those who followed, all cried aloud, blessed be He who comes in the name of the Lord. Two things, it seems to me happen in this text, as they cried out, first, a pathway was carved out for Jesus to enter their world. Second, they shouted blessed be the kingdom of our Father David, so the kingdom of God or the new birth becomes more and more relevant, even powerful in our lives, through living dynamic praise and worship.
Today we see Jesus coming and by His cross restoring all that was lost, making straight crooked paths and to set at liberty those who are bound. As we praise Him we become living proof of the fact that Jesus has been here. We too, begin to say the kingdom of our God is being established in our hearts.
There were two things about those who followed Jesus, the first being, praise prepares a pathway for Jesus to work in us, it is a pathway prepared and established by praise. The second thing is – there has been a change – we are born again! Now we follow Him, for our hearts have been changed. History proves that Jesus came this way but more than anything; we who are born again are living proof that Jesus came to make us alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
The words “only begotten” are a rather poor translation of the Greek word monogenes. The word was used to mean only one son or daughter. The word can also be translated either unique or one of its kind. To those who understood the language, John was saying, “for God so loved the world, that He gave the ‘only one of its kind’ son.”
Jesus’ birth was so unique that an angel brought word of His conception. He was born of a virgin maid. His entry into the world attracted shepherds and wise men alike. His birth was heralded by an angelic host, and a special star hung over them to guide men to this one of a kind Son of God man.
Jesus lived like no other man had lived. He healed the sick and raised up dead people. Pilate said at His trial, “behold the man.” I prefer to take away the dignified speech of England and hear him say in words that we understand, “what a man.” He is a man who lives with out fear, calms storms, forgives sin and turns water into wine. In His uniqueness He came as Lord of the church He will calm your storms, forgive your sin and turn the soured water of your life into Holy Spirit wine. He will redeem your life from destruction and cause you to rise up and say I am more than a conqueror in every situation of life.

I hear Jesus calling from the other side of the cross. That is where He experienced all that hell could deal out to Him. Jesus is saying, call on Me, I know the way and I will see you through. Jesus experienced difficult days and He built a pathway through them.
Hebrews 12:2 says, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and is set down at the right had of the throne of God”.
The writer of Hebrews tells us to look to Jesus. This should be the direction of our gaze. We should not focus on trends, problems, markets, or circumstances. Even looking at our selves will not yield long-term gain. The lens of Faith is the only way we can see our way through hopeless days and impossible circumstances. Faith lenses are developed by the word of God. Our ability to see with God’s perspective is obtained by reading and hearing His word.
Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God. (Romans 10:17)

“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:10)
With the heart man believes; we don’t’ believe with our eyes, our big toes, or the hair on our head. We believe with the heart, which is our inward man or our spirit man. The physical organ called a heart cannot believe the word of God; it is only designed to pump blood through our body. The word “heart” has always been used for the spirit of man, when the heart stops, you stop. For this reason ancient man thought the heart was the source of life therefore the word “heart” came to mean the center of life itself.
Listen to the words of Ezekiel, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take that old stony heart out of you and give you a heart of flesh. (Ezek. 36:26) In that same vein Jesus talked with Nicodemus one evening, He said, “Except a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” Nicodemus was puzzled and responded, “Can I enter the second time into my mother’s womb”? Jesus said that you must be born of water and of the spirit. He was talking about the heart, the inward man. “For this reason, we never become discouraged. Our heart is being renewed day after day. It is not decaying, instead our spirit man is being filled daily with eternal life so that we may know what the exceeding greatness of His power is. We are His body, we are complete in Him who everywhere and in every way fills all in all. (Ephesians 1:23).
The Word of God came from the heart of God. Since God is a spirit and we are born of God, our spirit will receive His Word and grow in faith. “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17). Faith is a natural by-product of the Word of God. In Galatians 5:22, you will find that faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit or product of the reborn human spirit. As we pray in the spirit, the Holy Spirit waters the Word and causes it to increase. Not only will you begin to reach out and take those things that rightfully belong to you, you will find that others will want what you have. After all, isn’t that what living for Jesus is all about?
Heart-fully,
Pastor Danny
