Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the trickery of the devil. (Eph. 6:11)
Take a stand of faith. Standing is listed as a posture of prayer in the word of God. There are many prayer positions such as kneeling, bowing, and lying prostrate on the floor. Standing is not only a receiving stance but also an attitude that says, I refuse to move; I will stand on the Word and back down the rulers of the darkness.
Standing says I have come here to stay. I am well protected in the heat of battle. I have the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God spoken from my lips. I have the full armor of God to enable me to withstand any evil that would befall me. (Eph 6:12)
Paul said in Ephesians that he placed Jesus far above all principality, power, might, and dominion. We are the body of Christ to the world and we have authority over Satan. Take a stand against him, resist him, and break his hold in every area of our lives.
Remember Caleb said in his report, the enemy’s defense has left him, he no longer has his armor. Satan has been rendered powerless by the death and the resurrection of Jesus. The authority Jesus experienced is yours if you will believe and stand on the word of God. Hold your position and give no place to the devil and he will flee from you.
