If the only tool you owned was a hammer, you would tend to treat everything as though it were a nail. God gave each of us diverse gifts and callings. We are each unique. Paul said our gifts or tools differ according to the grace given to us.
- “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them…” (Romans 12:6, NKJ)
- “… not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord”. (12:11, NKJ) Romans
In verse 11 Paul said, do not lag in diligence, but be fervent in spirit as you serve the Lord. Evaluate your gifts and talents. You have all the tools you need to fulfill God’s calling and to affect every person God places in your pathway.
